Will iPhone 17 Pro OtterBox Cases Fit iPhone 18 Pro?
Yes, many OtterBox iPhone 17 Pro cases are compatible with iPhone 18 Pro, and many iPhone 17 Pro Max cases are compatible with iPhone 18 Pro Max. However, compatibility varies by individual case, and some ranges — including OtterBox FRĒ — require a case designed specifically for the new iPhone generation.
This does not mean standard iPhone 17 cases fit iPhone 18 Pro. The cross-generation compatibility covered in this guide specifically relates to selected iPhone 17 Pro cases fitting iPhone 18 Pro, and selected iPhone 17 Pro Max cases fitting iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Important: OtterBox FRĒ Is Not Cross-Compatible
One of the most important exceptions is OtterBox FRĒ Series.
The OtterBox FRĒ cases designed for iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are not compatible with iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max. FRĒ uses a much more precise, fully enclosed construction than a conventional open-screen phone case, so you'll need the correct FRĒ version for your iPhone generation.

Depending on the exact product, compatible ranges include Defender Pro, Defender Pro XT, Sole, Sole Pack, Symmetry, Symmetry Stand, Symmetry Cactus Leather, Commuter, Commuter Grip, Lumen, Figura, React and React Folio, along with compatible OtterBox Glass screen protection.
For Pro Max, the same principle applies between compatible iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 18 Pro Max products.
This does not apply to the standard iPhone 17. The compatibility discussed in this guide specifically relates to iPhone 17 Pro → iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max → iPhone 18 Pro Max.

Can I reuse my iPhone 17 Pro OtterBox screen protector on iPhone 18 Pro?
No, if the screen protector has already been installed on your iPhone 17 Pro, we do not recommend removing and reapplying it to an iPhone 18 Pro. Once an adhesive screen protector has been installed and removed, the adhesive may no longer bond correctly, and dust or debris can become trapped underneath.
